Ukraine has not received any official proposals from the United States or other partners regarding territorial concessions. Statements of this nature in the media should be taken without excessive emotion.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tikhiy, at a briefing.
"We view this as general wording. We have not received any official proposals from the US or other partners regarding concessions," the MFA spokesman said.
He added that media statements are often responses to journalists' questions, and one should not draw far-reaching conclusions from these remarks.
"What we see in the media is an information storm. We need to approach it calmly, analyze actions, not words," Tikhiy said.
He also emphasized that Ukraine's sovereignty within internationally recognized borders is not in question. The MFA spokesman stressed that Russia is unlawfully on Ukrainian territory.
"Ukraine is a sovereign state, and this is supported by the overwhelming majority of UN member states," the MFA spokesman concluded.
