Ukraine will not use the weapons supplied by its partners on the territories of other states — only on Ukrainian temporarily occupied lands. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a press conference in Kyiv on February 24.
"I will respond in general terms: if an aircraft operates over the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, we will use our weapons; if it operates in other directions, we will use Ukrainian weapons. Ukraine does not have the opportunity, nor the right, and will never use the weapons of its partners in other territories, except for the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory," Zelenskyy said.
He thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their effective work in destroying enemy equipment and thanked partners for their support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
"As for the downing of the A-50 and other enemy aircraft, this is in any case the result of the alliance between Ukraine and its partners. It would have been very difficult for us, and in some directions, it would have been impossible to defend our country without this alliance," the President said.
