Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine's NATO partners should interact during terrorist Russian airstrikes as they do in the Middle East, assisting Israel in intercepting Iranian missiles.

He made this statement in his traditional evening address on Wednesday, October 2.

The Ukrainian President reminded that last night the Russian army launched another attack on Ukraine using "Shaheds."

"In particular, there were strikes in Odesa region, in Izmail district, very close to the Romanian border. The "Shaheds" hit ordinary civilian infrastructure – a ferry terminal, trucks and a grain storage facility. This is precisely what Russian terrorists always see as a target – the food security of the region and the world," he said.

In this context, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine had long been telling all its neighbors and main partners about the need for cooperation.

"We need to shoot down "Shaheds" together, intercept missiles, especially in areas close to NATO countries. This is absolutely possible. Every time in the Middle East, during Iran's criminal strikes, we see how the international coalition acts together," he stated.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude to those countries that help Ukraine enhance its air defense.

"I especially thank Romania for the "Patriot" systems. And we can achieve even greater effectiveness – we can ultimately put an end to Russian terror by intercepting "Shaheds" and missiles through cooperation," he concluded.
