President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, who arrived in Ukraine for an official visit.

This marks Donald Tusk's first visit, as head of government, to a country outside the European Union.

Zelenskyy highlighted 5 key points of the negotiations:

The first is defensive support.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the new Polish defense package. The parties discussed possibilities for future joint weapons production.

The second is safety guarantees.

The parties discussed Poland's potential accession to the "Group of Seven" declaration, and Poland expressed readiness to initiate work on a bilateral agreement between the two countries.

The third is the situation at the border.

"At a time when we are defending not only our own independence, but also the freedom of other peoples of Europe, in particular the Polish people, solidarity with Ukraine should not be destroyed due to any obstacles," - Zelenskyy said.

The fourth point is cooperation in energy sector.

The fifth point is Ukraine's movement toward the European Union.

"I am grateful for the willingness of Prime Minister to support Ukraine with his experience, and it would probably be worthwhile to form a special consultation group between our countries, between our governments, to support Ukraine on the path to the European Union. I am confident: we will be together in the European Union. We will be together in NATO," - the President said.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Polish business to take part in the reconstruction of the country after hostilities.

Donald Tusk, for his part, noted that all political forces in Poland share the belief that Ukraine must be supported by all available means in the fight against Russian aggression.
