Zelenskyy in Germany told what finally will destroy Russian imperialism

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Germany called for Ukraine to join NATO. He emphasized that this will destroy Russian imperialism.

He said this during the ceremony of awarding him the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen.

The President emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers are now fighting for European values and the prospect of Ukraine joining NATO motivates them.

"There is no rational reason why our soldiers who fight for our shared freedom, for our shared values, are not in the same organization with all the other Alliance soldiers. Judging by the result of our actions, Ukraine is already in the Alliance, but the decision has not yet been made de jure," Zelenskyy explained.

The President called on the Alliance to define the algorithm for Ukraine's future accession to NATO.

"In addition to strengthening the entire Euro-Atlantic region with the courage of Ukrainians, our joining the Alliance will give another historic result - the flags of NATO next to the flags of Ukraine on our eastern border will become the lock, the powerful lock that will always keep Russian imperialism in the past," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
