Ukraine's Defense Forces will continue striking Russian military bases and military infrastructure used to carry out terror against Ukrainians.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed this in his traditional evening address on Saturday, December 21.
He reported that the debris and rubble in Kyiv from yesterday's missile attack had been cleared, while work continues in Kherson after Russian bombs hit an oncology clinic.
Zelenskyy noted that during the Russian attack on the medical facility in Kherson, there were no casualties only because patients and medical staff were in a shelter.
"This clinic operated during the war in a limited capacity - only services that could not be relocated from Kherson to other regional hospitals. Specifically, the linear accelerator was located only there, in Kherson. Radiotherapy treatment could be received in the city only there. The Russians could not have been unaware that this was a medical facility, and one that was particularly valuable to the people of Kherson. This deliberate attack is nothing but a mockery of people," the President said.
Zelenskyy also reminded of Russian strikes on Kharkiv, Nikopol, and Donetsk region.
"Pure terror, consciously perpetrated by Russia, for which these inhuman members of the Russian air force are even awarded. But they will certainly be held accountable - the time will come. And we will definitely continue striking Russian military targets - using drones and missiles, increasingly our own ones - against precisely those military bases and Russian military infrastructure used for such terror against our people," the Ukrainian leader promised.
President Zelenskyy emphasizes that the defense actions of Ukrainians are entirely fair and expressed gratitude to international partners supporting Ukraine in this effort.
"I thank everyone working to increase pressure on Russia for this war," he said.
