Zelenskyy’s Office responds to information that seven NATO countries oppose Ukraine's invitation
The Office of the President of Ukraine refutes media claims that seven NATO member countries allegedly oppose inviting Ukraine to the Alliance.
This was stated by Presidential Spokesman Serhiy Nykyforov.
"These rumors benefit those who want to create a false impression that Ukraine's membership does not have broad support among Alliance members," Nykyforov said.
According to the spokesman, the idea of inviting Ukraine to NATO has the backing of an absolute majority of member countries. Active diplomatic work is ongoing regarding the remaining countries. Nykyforov stresses that an invitation to NATO is the first point of the Victory Plan and a reliable path to a just and lasting peace.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is actively presenting this plan to international partners, the Ukrainian parliament, media representatives, and civil society, consolidating efforts to advance Ukraine's invitation to NATO.
