On January 9, Zelenskyy will attend a meeting of the Ukraine Contact Group at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Zelenskyy shared this information during his address on January 8.

"Tomorrow, I will be at the "Ramstein" meeting, and there will also be talks with partners at the level of defense ministers and military commanders," the President said.

He added that Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is already in Germany and has begun the first meetings.

"The key issue for Ukraine is to continue strengthening our air defense, to give Ukraine the ability to at least push Russian military aviation away from our cities and borders. This is possible if our partners now fulfill the agreements we have been discussing with them for a long time," Zelenskyy noted.

He also expressed gratitude to the partners for their support of Ukraine and announced discussions about future work in 2025.

"Of course, we will discuss with our partners how our defense coalitions will continue to work in 2025. Europe has only one choice – and it’s a historic choice – to become stronger, to become more independent, and rely more on itself. We must be mature in this world and be ready to make our European contribution to global security. This will be right for everyone in Europe," Zelenskyy concluded.
