Russia is gearing up for a new phase of its offensive against Ukraine, which may begin by late summer or September.
This was stated by Maksym Zhorin, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, in an interview with Focus.
According to him, the redeployment of Russian units has been observed, indicating preparations for a major operation.
«Yes, this is a real threat. Based on intercepted communications and the buildup of forces, the Russians are indeed redeploying units, which points to preparations for a new phase of the offensive. Most likely, it will begin by the end of summer or in September — once the regrouping is complete, ” Zhorin said.
Among the directions where the strike is expected, he named Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as the Pokrovsk area in Donetsk region.
Zhorin also does not rule out the possibility that North Korean forces could be involved in the offensive.
