Massive strikes on Ukraine could become more frequent: Zhdanov warns of danger

The Russian army may regularly carry out massive missile and drone attacks on Ukraine — even every day or two.

This view was expressed to TSN.ua by military expert Oleh Zhdanov.

«They can launch such strikes every other day. They actually need just one day to prepare the aircraft and deliver the next batch of Chinese-Russian „Geranium“ drones to the launchers or launch sites. The point is that they have been stockpiling for two weeks. In July, Budanov said that as of July, Russia had increased production to 230 drones of various types per day. Now, if you look at the Air Force’s launch or deployment schedule, anything below 230 was sent to storage, ” the expert explained.

In addition, Russia constantly produces and accumulates missiles of different types — over 100 per month. At the same time, the Russian army uses far fewer for strikes on Ukraine, Zhdanov noted.

«Of the drones we deduct from the 230, at least half are combat drones. The rest are decoys. Today, I think they have a reserve of several thousand drones. What’s needed? Prepare the aircraft. They have enough planes so they don’t need to use them all the time; they rotate them. They have a dozen or two dozen on the wing. They even launch more aircraft than missiles. Two or three planes carry missiles, and the rest create mass to scare us as much as possible and to distract our radar systems from detecting the missile launch. This is very important for air defense systems, to start tracking and predicting the interception points of these missiles along their trajectory, ” Zhdanov said.

In his opinion, another massive strike could happen very soon:

«In a day, they could carry out several such massive strikes. Then there might be a pause of one or two weeks, and it could repeat.»
