On July 25, the Russian occupiers attacked Kharkiv. In the evening, one drone fell in the middle of a road in the city’s central area. At night, another drone exploded in the air, and a third struck a tower crane. Explosions continue to echo in Kharkiv even now.
The number of victims from a guided aerial bomb strike has risen to 17. In the morning, the occupiers dropped the bomb on a medical facility in the Industrial District. Among the injured is a 12-year-old girl.
This was reported in a piece by TSN correspondent Yulia Boyko.
Kharkiv has been under attack from guided bombs for two consecutive days. This morning, a new strike hit a medical facility directly. Nearby are private homes. There are victims, including a 12-year-old girl. Once again, there were no military targets in the vicinity.
The strike hit the medical institution directly. In nearby residential houses, the blast wave shattered windows and displaced fences. This all happened in broad daylight when many people were already out on the streets.
“I heard a loud, piercing whistle. I didn’t even have time to realize what it was. It threw me around like a bug. They probably aimed at the hospital… And we’re right next door. I even used to work there,” said Oleksandra, the owner of a damaged house.
“My wife was at home, and I was at work. She called me, I came back and saw that all the windows on the veranda were blown out, and in the rooms too. The shed and garage were torn apart. There’s a lot of damage,” said Oleh, another owner of a damaged house.
The enemy projectile struck the territory of a tuberculosis dispensary. At the time of the attack, medics and patients were inside. For several hours, it was unclear whether there were people trapped under the rubble, as rescuers heard a phone ringing beneath the debris. Fortunately, no one was found under the collapsed structures.
“According to preliminary data, there were 13 patients and an equal number of medical staff inside. This is exclusively a civilian facility. There are residential houses nearby. There are no military targets here,” said Amil Omarov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
As of now, 17 people are reported injured, including a 12-year-old girl. One of the victims was hospitalized, but her condition is described as mild. This is already the second attack on Kharkiv in two days.
The day before, the Russians targeted high-rise buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi District, injuring over 40 people. Three of them remain in hospitals.
