The village of Mykolaivka came under simultaneous missile and drone attack, leaving a local shop on the main street completely destroyed. At the time of the strike, many people were inside. One woman was killed instantly. The shop owner — who was at the epicentre of the explosion — and a five-year-old girl were taken to hospital in critical condition.

This is reported in a story by TSN correspondent Anastasiya Nevirna.

“My daughter lost her leg and arm — she’s 37, with two children. They took her to Dnipro. She told me, "Mom, don’t cry — we’ll dance together again,” says Liudmyla.

Her daughter survived thanks to her husband, Liudmyla explained — he provided first aid and shielded her during the second strike, which caused the most devastation.

Friends and neighbours are now helping the family clear the rubble and salvage what’s left of their belongings.

Across the street, a nearby house was left without windows and with a shattered roof. Inside were Dmytro’s mother and his two children, who miraculously survived. “It all happened instantly — there was no time to hide,” Dmytro says.

The family suffered only minor injuries but are too terrified to return.

Dmytro's neighbour, Ivan, narrowly escaped death. After the first explosion, he ran outside to help others, only to be caught in the second blast — but again survived and began rescuing the wounded.

This Russian strike killed a woman and injured her five-year-old granddaughter, who was walking with her to the shop to buy pastries. The child’s leg had to be amputated.

In total, nine people were wounded in the attack, and more than 30 homes were destroyed or damaged, leaving residents without shelter.
