In Kherson, Russian troops shelled a city bus and attacked the Korabelnyi district. As a result of the assault, 10 people were injured.

This was reported by TSN correspondent Svitlana Pavuk.

The day before, Russians attacked a city bus with a drone.

“The blast wave came from here — it tore off the doors, the floor, everything. That’s what saved the people — there weren’t many of them, and they were inside the cabin, while the blast wave came from the rear,” said the bus driver.

Five passengers were injured, with varying degrees of severity.

An hour and a half later, Russian forces began shelling residential buildings in the Korabelnyi district using artillery. Residents reported at least seven explosions. Five residents of those buildings were injured while in their apartments during the attack. Most of them were elderly and are now suffering from high blood pressure and shock.

Having lived through years of shelling, people now know that the most dangerous place in an apartment is near the windows. So they hide as far from them as possible.

One Kherson resident sustained a shrapnel injury to his arm, but said he survived thanks to preemptively barricading his windows.

“It’s good that we covered the windows with pillows. The pillows were shredded like sieves. They saved us — if not for them, we wouldn’t be here,” he said.

The man said he and his wife had planned to go down to the basement, but didn’t have time, so they hid in the hallway.

Another Kherson resident was at work at the time of the strike but needed medical help after seeing her destroyed apartment on the third floor.

Not far from the buildings damaged by the artillery strike, a Russian drone was also found, having landed on the grounds of a kindergarten. Explosive ordnance technicians have already removed it for inspection and disarmament.

Such combined attacks — involving both drones and artillery — happen in Kherson almost daily.
