Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak states that the authorities are not considering holding a referendum on introducing amendments to the Constitution to recognize the Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories.

Yermak said this in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The head of the Presidential Office stresses that Ukraine has no intention of ceding its territories to the enemy.

«We are not doing this (a referendum — ed.), and at present we have no intention of giving up any part of our land. But today we are realistic and know that the aggressor has occupied some regions, and for now we cannot liberate them with weapons, ” Yermak says.

He emphasizes that Ukraine seeks an end to the war and assurances against future aggression.

«Zelenskyy clearly stated that all territorial issues will be addressed at his bilateral meeting with Putin. He added that negotiations must begin from the current front line, and Ukraine will under no circumstances relinquish its national territories. We acknowledge the situation created by the war and want to discuss it,» the head of the Presidential Office says.
