Lasers and deep-strike: Ukraine and Germany prepare "surprises" for upcoming Ramstein summit
Ukraine’s Defense Minister revealed how Germany would aid the country in the near future.
Fedorov disclosed details of defense agreements with Berlin ahead of the new Ramstein
Ukraine agreed on cooperation priorities with Germany ahead of the next Ramstein meeting scheduled for April 15.
This was reported by Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov following talks with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius.
Together with Germany, Ukraine is preparing a series of joint projects:
significant reinforcement of air defense;
additional funding for drones, specifically deep-strike and middle-strike capabilities;
development of joint technological solutions;
new formats for combat data exchange;
cooperation in innovation, specifically in projects involving laser technologies.
Fedorov stressed that Germany remains one of Ukraine’s key partners.
"I am grateful for the systemic support, especially during the winter, for the contribution to the "Czech initiative" and the supply of PAC-3 missiles—this decision was of critical importance for protecting Ukrainian skies this winter. Our priority is to scale up air defense and, together with partners, ensure stable and long-term solutions for the protection of Ukrainian skies," he concluded.
