Lukashenko makes cynical claim on drones heading to Poland from Belarus

Self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko has made a cynical statement regarding Russian drones that attacked Poland. He insists that his country has nothing to do with the drones entering Poland or Lithuania.

The Belarusian Telegraph Agency reports this.

“We have nothing to do with everything flying into Poland and Lithuania today. And if we reacted the way they howl after every drone entering our territory from Ukraine or Russia, via Poland or Lithuania… we never did that. We respond calmly through the proper channels,” he said.

Lukashenko added that Belarusians reportedly shot down half of the drones, missing only “a few.” According to him, Belarus spent significant resources to destroy drones heading toward Poland.

“They were informed how many drones were flying and where. We didn’t know whose they were either: "Do your job!" They admit it. But they still complain. So they have some schemes. We must figure them out. We have figured them out. And we must counter them. Without explaining anything to anyone,” Lukashenko stated.
