The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, cynically stated that the understandings reached during the summit in Alaska open the road to peace in Ukraine.
Putin said this during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, according to the propaganda outlet RIA Novosti on Telegram.
«The understandings reached during the summit in Alaska open the road to peace in Ukraine, ” Putin said at the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State.
The Kremlin dictator also declared that «the root causes of the „Ukrainian crisis“ must be eliminated for a long-term settlement.»
«The „crisis in Ukraine“ arose not as a result of an „attack,“ but as a result of a „coup“… Attempts by the West to draw Ukraine into NATO are one of the causes of the „Ukrainian crisis, ” he said.
Putin also cynically added that in the matter of the «Ukrainian crisis» Russia allegedly adheres to the approach that «no country can ensure its security at the expense of another.»
