Russian «fuhrer» Vladimir Putin continues to cook up audacious and absurd excuses to avoid a face-to-face meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. His latest pretext: strikes inside Russian territory.
The dictator made these statements during a meeting with military academy graduates.
Once again, he brazenly blamed Ukraine for drone attacks, conveniently ignoring Russia’s crippling fuel shortages caused by those very strikes. Instead, he claimed the attacks were launched solely to «shake up society.»
The «fuhrer» also addressed Zelenskyy’s open letter, which called for an end to the war and a personal meeting. At the same time, the dictator dismissively claimed the message was merely designed to «generate conflict potential.»
Putin then pivoted to the frontline, hallucinating «successes» for his occupying forces. According to him, Russian troops are currently «mopping up» Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. What is more, he went on to boldly boast that during the so-called «special military operation,» «we will get wherever we need to go.»
