Lukashenko's mobilization threats are merely an information bubble

Belarusian self-proclaimed president Alexander Lukashenko is once again attempting to keep neighbors on edge. Recently, he made a series of sharp statements about modernizing his army and implementing so-called «targeted mobilization.» However, Ukrainians should not take this another portion of threats too seriously, says Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC.
Playing on nerves to satisfy Putin

As Kovalenko explained, all these bellicose speeches by Belarusian dictator are not real preparation for combat operations, but only diligent execution of information agenda sent from Moscow.
«The man is working through Russians' information agenda to make Putin happy, nothing more,» the NSDC official said.

He also assured that Ukrainian Defense Forces keep situation on northern border under strict control. In case of even slightest real threat, our intelligence will instantly detect it.
«If there is threat, Ukraine will see it, and Lukashenko will be the one to regret. I think he knows this,» Kovalenko concluded.
