Kremlin sends «chief manipulator» to Geneva talks

The Kremlin openly acknowledges that Dmitriev’s main task is to «explore potential areas of trade and economic partnership» between the U.S. and Russia. In other words, they do not hide that his primary goal is to influence Americans through multi-billion-dollar contracts.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is sending his economic cooperation representative, Kyiv-born Kirill Dmitriev, to talks in Geneva.

Russian propagandist media reported this.

«Dmitriev is scheduled to arrive in Geneva on Thursday to continue talks with the Americans on the economic track, ” the propagandist media report.

Online, Dmitriev is jokingly referred to as an adviser for bribing Americans. For the past year, he has been attempting to convince Steve Witkoff that the United States should lift sanctions on Russia and resume economic cooperation. He promises multi-billion-dollar contracts to the U.S., including for the exploitation of natural resources in Russia’s North. According to Ukrainian intelligence, during his visit to the U.S., Dmitriev offered a 12 trillion-dollar economic deal between the two countries.

It is not yet known whether Dmitriev will take part in the trilateral talks in early March. However, his presence could potentially provide at least some constructive contribution to the negotiations. After all, he does not deliver historical lectures to counterparts, as the head of the Russian delegation, Medinsky, often does.

Russian so-called «liberal» media also assert that there is a private conflict between Dmitriev and Foreign Minister Lavrov. Lavrov is considered part of the so-called «hawks» camp opposing an end to the war with Ukraine and any concessions. Dmitriev is reportedly willing to negotiate and end the war.
