Russia will push further: NSC predicts next move toward Poland.
The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) issued a warning regarding Russia’s intentions to attempt incursions into Polish territory. In doing so, the aggressor state is testing the Alliance’s resilience.
This was stated by Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the NSDC’s Center for Countering Disinformation.
As Kovalenko points out, Russia may attempt to challenge the integrity of Poland’s border by deploying sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs). Indeed, Russians might attempt to penetrate Polish territory.
“Naryshkin and the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service have actually announced their own plans,” the NSDC emphasized.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation added that the primary objective—both of drone operations in the skies of NATO countries and the potential incursion of SRGs—is to gauge the Alliance’s response. No less significant is Russia’s ambition to sway European societies.
“They aim to instill fear and erode support for Ukraine. They will not succeed,” Kovalenko asserted.
