The intrusion of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles into Poland is unlikely to mark a turning point in Ukraine’s war against Russia or in NATO’s strategy against Moscow’s aggression.

A retired Australian Armed Forces Major General and military expert Mick Ryan shared this view in an interview with Ukraine’s 24 kanal.

The expert was asked whether the drone incursion into Poland could serve as a turning point that might push NATO to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

«I would like to believe it, but right now there are no concrete steps toward that. I think you will see Poland and possibly the Baltic countries strengthen their defenses. In particular, the Poles have announced the purchase of additional platforms for countering drones, ” Ryan said.

He predicts that air defense coverage over Eastern Europe will increase. At the same time, the expert believes there will be no changes in NATO or U.S. policy regarding no-fly zones. In his view, the allies do not want a situation where they would have to shoot down Russian aircraft or kill Russians.
