Russian forces are attempting to infiltrate Kupiansk from the north. Ukrainian troops are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from achieving its objectives.
Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops "Dnipro" said this during a broadcast on Suspilne.
“Kupiansk is now essentially like Pokrovsk, only on a slightly smaller scale. A very similar situation. The Russians are mainly trying to crawl toward the city from the north, using all available infrastructure, geographic and other features. We are working to stop them and prevent from reaching their goals," Trehubov said.
He noted that Russian Telegram channels are already spreading an alternate reality in which they have allegedly encircled and practically “taken” the city.
“In reality, this is not the case, fortunately. But the situation in Kupiansk is not easy,” Trehubov said.
