Donald Trump’s policy could provoke a split in the EU and weaken NATO, which would negatively affect support for Ukraine, expert Vadym Denysenko believes.

If European leaders fail to reach an understanding with Donald Trump during meetings in Davos, Europe could face two serious crises at once — a domestic split within the European Union and the effective dismantling of NATO in its current form.
Vadym Denysenko, head of the analytical center «Dilova Stolytsia», said this during a broadcast on Kyiv 24.
«If talks with Trump end unsuccessfully, it could spark two catastrophes: the collapse of EU unity and the disappearance of NATO in the form it has existed for the past 50 years. This would lead to a sharp reduction in support for Ukraine from European partners, ” the expert said.
According to Denysenko, Trump’s team views the Greenland issue as a central part of the Republican election strategy. This shift in US foreign policy, he said, poses serious risks to the global security system and could result in widespread destabilization.
