Investigation results show that the incidents with Ukrainian drones in Latvia were caused by Russian electronic warfare. The systems intentionally altered the path of UAVs heading for targets inside Russia.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced this on X.
He also revealed details of a new conversation with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže regarding Ukrainian drones that ended up on Latvian territory.
According to him, investigations proved this was a result of Russian electronic warfare aimed at knocking Ukrainian drones off course from their targets in Russia.
Ukraine’s top diplomat stressed that Ukraine is ready to strengthen cooperation with the Baltic states and Finland to prevent such cases in the future.
According to the minister, Ukrainian specialists could also be involved in this cooperation.
«Our goal is to ensure maximum security for Latvia, other Baltic states, and Finland,» he stressed.
Sybiha says that this is possible both through effective counteraction to Russian aggression and weakening the Russian war machine, as well as by strengthening the airspace defense of Ukraine’s partners.
