Russian attacks have already caused significant damage to the country’s energy and gas infrastructure.

Ukrainians have been warned of potential serious challenges with heating during the upcoming winter, with apartment temperatures expected to range between +12–14 °C during the heating season.

This was stated by Chairman of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities Oleh Popenko.

“The winter will be very tough. We have limited gas supplies. Therefore, I expect restrictions on gas supply during prolonged low temperatures, possibly lasting several weeks. There may even be gas shutoffs, as our integrated gas transportation system and gas storage facilities have been repeatedly targeted,” he noted.
