Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, believes that the escalation of the conflict with Poland is ahead. According to his information, Nawrocki's circle is "preparing a whole series of immature, escalatory steps" on the anniversary of the Volyn tragedy, July 11.

He said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"It will definitely be ahead. There is no great secret here. We have a little less than a week left until July 11, which marks the anniversary of the Volyn tragedy. Based on the information I possess, they are preparing a whole series of, in my view, immature, escalatory steps. Therefore, obviously, all of this will continue now," he warned.

Budanov responds to Poland's ultimatums

Budanov called Poland's actions "immaturity" and stressed that Ukraine will not accept any ultimatums issued by Warsaw.

"Ukraine will not accept ultimatums from anyone in this world. The last one who tried to hand us an ultimatum was the Russian Federation. No offense to Poland—but it is a bit more powerful than Poland. And we did not accept it anyway. Yes, it is hard, bad, a lot of blood. But we did not accept even their ultimatum. So why does anyone think we will accept something else from another party? There is no need to speak to us in ultimatums," the head of the Presidential Office said.

Office of the President responds to Poland's calls for a "first step"

Budanov also addressed Poland's calls for Ukraine to take the first step, emphasizing that Kyiv has no intention of making "preemptive missteps" to de-escalate the conflict.

"Once they take theirs, we will see and we will respond. No one is going to sit by silently," he said.
