In the early hours of October 1, the Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov reported on the aftermath.

«The enemy struck with „Molniya“ drones, nine „Geranium-2“ UAVs, and three guided aerial bombs targeting Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi, Kyivskyi, and Saltivskyi districts. An explosion of an unidentified object in Pischanka village, Berestivka community, injured a 62-year-old man,» Synehubov stated.

According to Terekhov, hits in the Saltivskyi and Kyivskyi districts caused damage to private homes and garages, igniting fires.

«A fire also broke out at one of the city’s markets, and a major blaze was recorded at a garage cooperative site,» the mayor added.

As of 4 a.m., at least six people were known to be injured. Four—an 80-year-old woman and men aged 34, 25, and 27—were hospitalized with blast wounds. A 21-year-old man received medical assistance on site.
