As a result of the missile attack by the Russian army on the city of Sumy on April 13, several civilian sites were damaged or destroyed. Among them are offices of local editorial teams, a university building, a press club, a cultural center, and a theater.

This was reported in a comment to Detector Media by Aliona Yatsyna, regional representative of the Institute of Mass Information.

The “Congress Center” of Sumy State University sustained the most severe damage. Photo exhibitions by "Kordon Media" and the Sumy Cultural Center were destroyed there.

The "Nyankini" theater, located in the shelter of the Congress Center, was completely destroyed.

The filming crew of the YouTube project "War Diaries" also worked in the same building. Fortunately, no staff were inside at the time of the strike.

The security guard of the Congress Center — the father of a war correspondent from "Kordon Media" — was injured.

Windows were blown out in the office of the "Cukr" editorial team and in one of the halls of the Sumy Press Club.
