This is the first Ramstein for Denys Shmyhal as Minister of Defense
Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed preparations for the upcoming “Ramstein” meeting with UK Defence Secretary John Healey. The talks covered the development of joint defence production and the implementation of bilateral projects in the defence industry sector.
The announcement was made by Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.
When to expect the next "Ramstein"
Shmyhal said the sides had coordinated key positions.
“I thanked the UK for its active preparations and for organizing the meeting,” he noted.
The discussion also addressed the expansion of joint manufacturing and the execution of bilateral defence industry projects. The United Kingdom is expected to play a key role in the new U.S.- and NATO-led mechanism, the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL).
“I am grateful to our British partners for their high level of support and their commitment to strengthening the security of Ukraine and Europe,” Shmyhal concluded.
