During the night, the Russian army launched a powerful attack on Ukraine, deploying over 420 drones and more than 20 missiles, including ballistic ones. At least 15 people were injured, including a 12-year-old boy. Two people were killed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports this.
According to him, the attack caused damage in Kyiv and its region, as well as in Prykarpattia and Kharkiv regions. Air defense forces destroyed attack drones in the Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, and Kherson regions.
“Russia’s strikes are always against humanity: in Kyiv, a kindergarten, residential buildings, and other civilian infrastructure were set ablaze. Ordinary homes were destroyed in Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and its region,” the Head of State emphasized.
Zelenskyy notes that Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down many air targets, “but, unfortunately, not all.” The President stresses that it is crucial to scale up interceptors, as “this is the solution that will protect against massive attacks.”
