Podolyak names conditions for ending the war at any moment

The war in Ukraine could end at any moment if the international community stops appeasing Russia and employs coercive measures.

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said this in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.

According to him, three critical conditions are necessary for swiftly ending the war.

«This war can be ended quickly if three fundamental tools are applied: informational isolation of Russia, economic sanctions, and large-scale, impactful strikes on Russian territory,» Podolyak said.

He also noted that peace initiatives from Global South countries have faded, as they have realized that forcing Moscow to negotiate is impossible. «No one now claims that Ukraine is unwilling to sit at the negotiating table or unprepared for a diplomatic resolution. Everyone has gone silent — why? Because it’s too obvious. Previously, there were proposals like the Brazilian peace formula, the Chinese-Brazilian peace formula, the Indian peace initiative, and others from the Global South, all saying, „Let’s sit down and negotiate, and it will all end.“ Ukraine agreed, saying, „Let’s do it.“ But now it’s clear that Russia doesn’t want to, cannot, and will not negotiate,» Podolyak says.
