Poles block border crossing again: Situation at the border
Poles have significantly restricted the passage of trucks both entering and exiting Ukraine.
Border checkpoint.
On May 12, Polish carriers began blocking the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing. The number of trucks in the electronic queue has now decreased by almost half.
Ukraine’s State Customs Service reports this.
Carriers are actively withdrawing from the "eQueue" system for crossing the border at Yahodyn, opting for other checkpoints along the Ukrainian-Polish border.
It is known that Polish carriers blocked the Dorohusk-Yagodyn checkpoint for passage yesterday, limiting the number of trucks to one per hour in the direction of exit and entry to Ukraine. As a result, during the 12-hour night shift, the Yahodyn customs post processed 205 trucks entering Ukraine but only eight exiting the country.
While the electronic queue previously included 1,391 vehicles, it has now dropped to 789 empty or loaded trucks as of this morning.
Customs officials note that truckers are no longer joining the "live queue" to enter Ukraine, choosing alternative routes instead.
