Following Russian strikes, consumers in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions were left without power as of the morning of December 15. On the same day, hourly power outage schedules were introduced in most regions of Ukraine for households, alongside capacity limits for industrial users and businesses.

Ukrenergo reported this.

Overnight into December 15, Russian forces used drones to strike energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As a result, consumers in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions were without electricity by morning.

Emergency repair and restoration work continues across all regions hit by the shelling. Odesa region remains the hardest hit after Russian occupying forces carried out a massive overnight attack on energy infrastructure on December 13. Energy workers are doing all they can to restore power as quickly as possible.

Due to earlier large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, consumption restrictions are currently in place in most regions:

- capacity limits for industrial consumers and businesses,

- hourly power outages.

Ukrenergo urged residents in regions where hourly power outages are in effect today to use electricity sparingly.
