After a prolonged period of relative stability on the front near the city of Siversk, significant changes have occurred. Russian troops have intensified their operations and are achieving gains.
This was reported by analysts from the monitoring resource DeepState.
Russian forces are now present directly in the southern and eastern areas of the settlement. The enemy is applying multiple pressure tactics, ranging from mechanized assaults to relentless waves of infantry.
Enemy activity and weak points
According to DeepState, increased enemy activity in the Siversk area has led to changes on this section of the front that have not been seen for a long time. Russian forces are increasingly appearing in the southern part of Siversk and along its eastern outskirts.
The enemy is employing a variety of assault tactics, probing for vulnerabilities and trying to breach the defenses:
Mechanized assault attempts have been recorded;
Forces have tried to storm in on motorcycles;
Infantry units are exerting continuous pressure.
The analysts report that the Russians have found gaps in the defenses and are pushing hard, often leading to severe consequences for Ukrainian troops.
Communication issues on the front
DeepState points out that communication and information reliability are problematic in this part of the front, covering the area from Dronivka to Rozdolivka.
«The issue across this whole sector is the unreliability of information, particularly regarding allied forces. Sadly, this sometimes has negative consequences, as was the case when a group of Ukrainian soldiers was ambushed in the southern part of Siversk, resulting in unfortunate outcomes, ” the report states.
The analysts say they are working to get a complete picture of the situation near Siversk. For now, one thing is clear — tensions around the city remain high.
