The Russian occupiers have started installing portable air defense missile systems on board «Shahed» drones, he said.
The comments were made by radio technology specialist Serhii Beskrestnov, known by the call sign «Flash».
According to him, Russia is continuing to look for ways to destroy Ukraine’s aircraft in this way.
«Today we encountered for the first time a „Shahed“ drone with a MANPADS installed on board. The „Shahed“ is equipped with a camera and a radio modem, and the missile is launched by the drone’s pilot, who controls it from Russian territory, ” „Flash“ wrote on Telegram.
Beskrestnov advises army aviation pilots to avoid approaching «Shahed» drones head-on and to be more cautious with drones operating in a holding pattern.
He also published a video of a «Shahed» drone equipped with a MANPADS.
