Russian forces delivered a targeted drone strike on a scheduled minibus traveling on a road near Mykolaivka rural community in Sumy district. The attack injured civilians—ordinary passengers on a civilian route.

This was stated in a report from the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to local authorities, the strike was deliberate against passenger transport—the enemy hit people directly.

The minibus, heading toward Sumy, caught fire and burned completely. Traffic for scheduled transport was prohibited on this road section due to heightened danger, as Russians have repeatedly attacked this direction with drones.

Initially, five injured were reported, including a child.

Later, the number of injured rose to ten, and then to 13 after additional medical examinations.

Among the injured are ten women, one man, and two children aged 8 and 15.

Two people, including a child, are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives.

Later, it became known that, unfortunately, a 69-year-old man wounded in the attack has since died in hospital.

«Medical teams attempted resuscitation in the ambulance, but the injuries were too severe, ” the administration said, extending condolences to the victim’s family.

In addition, doctors recorded an appeal from one more injured person.

As of 21:21 on 26 October, one person has been killed and 13 wounded in the Russian drone strike on the minibus.
