A drone damaged a train in the Zhytomyr region
A freight train derailed near Korosten in the Zhytomyr region after a "Shahed" drone attack. Four employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were injured.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
“As a result of a Russian UAV attack on energy and transport infrastructure facilities in the region, four employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were injured,” the statement said.
Rescuers evacuated the injured from the damaged locomotives and handed them over to ambulance crews.
All fires have been extinguished, and recovery work is underway. Emergency responders, representatives of all emergency services, Ukrzaliznytsia, and volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross are working at the scene.
