Since mid-December 2025, there has not been a single day in Odesa region without an air raid alert. Through these attacks, the Russians are seeking to disrupt the region’s logistics.

This was said by Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, in comments to 24 Kanal.

According to him, the aggressor country is also concentrating strikes on energy infrastructure and logistics. The Russians have increased both the number of strikes and the number of drone launch points, complicating the work of air defense systems.

During attacks on Odesa region, Russian forces are using a range of weapons, including drones and ballistic missiles. The missiles are fitted with cluster warheads, which create a wide area of destruction on impact, Bratchuk said, describing this as further evidence of the attacks’ terrorist nature.

“The enemy has complicated its tactics, launching "Shahed" drones from multiple locations, including Crimea and Russia’s Krasnodar region. That is why air raid alerts are sounding almost constantly,” he said.

Bratchuk says there have been no deaths in Odesa or the surrounding region. However, emergency services are facing a heavy workload due to strikes.

He added that Russian forces are using low-altitude flight paths to penetrate the city with drones. "Shahed" drones are flying even between residential buildings, in an attempt to complicate the work of air defense. Flying at low altitudes also prevents radar systems from detecting the drones in time.
