Ukraine gets first IMF tranche under new program, amount disclosed

Ukraine has received $1.5 billion from the International Monetary Fund under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). This is the first tranche under a new four-year cooperation program, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said.
Key details of the tranche
The funds have already reached Ukraine’s state budget and will be used for priority spending and to support financial stability during the ongoing war.
The total program is worth $8.1 billion.
Since the start of the invasion, Ukraine has secured $14.9 billion in IMF aid. Ukrainian officials thanked international partners for their trust and continued support. The government is continuing agreed reforms to maintain macroeconomic stability, strengthen state institutions, and advance European integration.
