Ukrainian Armed Forces ready to help? Zhorin calls on Moldova to return Transnistria
Ukraine is capable of militarily de-occupying Transnistria in a short time, according to Zhorin.
Will there be a new frontline near the Odesa region: Zhorin called for the de-occupation of Transnistria
Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, Lieutenant Colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Maksym Zhorin called on Moldova to finally resolve the Transnistria issue while the Russian Federation has no resources to defend the enclave.
He stated this on Telegram.
According to the military commander, Moldova should have resolved the Transnistria issue long ago. Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the perfect time for this has come.
«For many years they (Moldova — Ed.) have had some incomprehensible piece of the Russian Federation right on their doorstep, and they are doing nothing with it. It is obvious that Russia currently does not have enough resources to send full-fledged units there for protection. It is high time to take back the occupied territories,» Zhorin believes.
He hinted that Ukraine could support Moldova militarily.
«I think we would find a way to support such an action. In general, Ukraine is entirely capable of militarily de-occupying Transnistria in the short term,» Zhorin concluded.
