Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a strong statement regarding Russia’s encroachment on Ukrainian territory, emphasizing that the country’s borders are defined by the Constitution and international law.
He made the statement during a video address to participants of the Warsaw Security Forum.
«The borders are defined by our Constitution. Everyone knows Ukraine’s borders, recognized by the world and international law. Regarding the line of contact or the front where the fighting is taking place — we can move to diplomacy, ” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, leaders can agree on a ceasefire, and teams can begin work on a plan to end the war.
«That is possible. But Russia will not draw new borders in Ukraine, ” the Head of State emphasized.
The President stressed that Ukraine’s borders are defined by the Constitution and international law and remain unchanged. According to him, only the frontline can become the subject of diplomacy, serving as the basis for agreements on a ceasefire and the start of work on a plan to end the war.
