Zelenskyy names regions with most severe power, heating issues

In Ukraine, electricity and heating conditions are extremely difficult due to Russian strikes. Harsh winter weather is worsening the situation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.

He says there are communities where conditions remain extremely severe, particularly in some towns and villages in border regions. In Kyiv, repair work continues after a Russian strike. The main priority for the capital is now to restore energy supply to homes.

In Brovary, Vasylkiv, Fastiv, and Boryspil in the Kyiv region, a large number of families are also without electricity. President Zelenskyy stressed that energy workers and repair teams are operating in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

«Our energy workers, repair crews, and all municipal services are working hard, performing truly incredible and heroic deeds. Harsh winter weather adds complications, which is why the situation is so difficult. This is exactly the kind of weather Russia is trying to take advantage of, ” Zelenskyy said.
