Ukraine aims to partially restore the damaged «Druzhba» pipeline by late April. The facility will be functional, though a full-scale overhaul of all components remains unfinished for now.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provided the update, stating that work is underway and the infrastructure should be ready for use within weeks.
«It will be repaired by the end of April. Not completely, but enough to be operational,» the president noted.
Zelenskyy clarified that while certain storage tanks cannot be recovered yet, this will not hinder the pipeline’s core operations.
The president also expressed hope that the facility’s recovery would coincide with the fulfillment of obligations by European partners.
«We believe this will align with other commitments from European Union nations, primarily Hungary,» he added.
This refers to previously blocked decisions that are of critical importance to Ukraine.
