Approaching within 10–12 kilometers of the frontline leads to the near-total destruction of civilian infrastructure as Russian forces systematically target all facilities.

The was shared by Ukrainian radio technology specialist Serhii «Flash» Beskrestnov on his Telegram channel.

«When only 10–12 kilometers remain to the frontline, the enemy begins destroying every object, ” he wrote.

According to him, most settlements in the affected zones have long been without electricity and mobile communication.

Targeted destruction of infrastructure

Mobile operators are forced to shut down and remove their equipment because it becomes a primary target. The infrastructure is being destroyed with a full range of weapons, including guided aerial bombs and FPV kamikaze drones.

«There has been no electricity in most places for a long time, and mobile operators are shutting down too. Infrastructure is being destroyed by guided bombs and FPVs, ” Flash noted.

The remains of mobile communication sites often still have working generators and fuel, but there are no volunteers willing to risk their lives to restore service.

«Moving around is terrifying in some areas, manageable in others. I track guided bombs on Virazh, though it barely helps — you only have a couple of minutes to dive for cover. FPV drones are detected via FPV detectors, ” he wrote.

Reconnaissance drones with optical systems pose the greatest threat, as they can operate up to 20 km away.

«You don’t see them, but they’re there, ” he says.

«Often a generator and fuel from mobile operators are still on-site — you could just start it and maintain the station. But no one is willing, ” „Flash“ adds.
