Expert Predicts How Russia’s New Large-Scale Offensive May Develop
The simultaneous offensive from several directions will be a disaster for Russian army.
Russia does not have enough strike groups to launch a new large-scale operation of a strategic or operational-strategic level, as military expert Mykhailo Samus said in his interview for Apostrophe TV.
According to him, if the Russians launch an offensive against Ukraine with all the forces they have gathered at the moment, it will lead to the final defeat of the Russian army.
"If they attack Ukraine from several directions simultaneously in the conditions they are in now, it will be a disaster and a complete defeat of Putin's army," Samus emphasized.
According to the expert, the Russian army holds certain groups in Belarus, 10-12 thousand troops in the Kharkiv direction, the main group in Donbas and some troops in the south.
"They continue offensive actions in Donbas. It is rather some offensive actions, not a full-scale operation. It does not look like an operation. These actions are taking place because Putin has set a goal to seize Donbas. He needs at least something by February 24th. But I wouldn't talk about a full-scale offensive, because Russians don't have enough strength," he said.
