Missile strike on Kryvyi Rih: what victims and eyewitnesses say

Around 9 in the morning, the Russians hit launched a misile at the city center of Kryvyi Rih, hitting a police administrative building. One officer was killed, and three others were rescued from under the rubble.

This building is located opposite the epicenter of the explosion. It was built in the 1920s. It survived the Second World War, but not the war with Russia. Oleksandr is walking through his damaged apartment. There is little left of the comfort and the recent renovation. The kitchen suffered the most.

"I was supposed to drink coffee here, before work, but thank God I wasn't here at that moment, because all the glass, the frame, everything ended up here," the man shows. He narrowly avoided being under the broken windows and plaster because he overslept a bit. His parents, whom he had brought from Kherson, which was constantly under shelling, were already at work.

"I was sleeping, and at around 9 o'clock, I heard a very loud explosion. I woke up and started screaming; I didn't understand what was happening; it was very frightening. Everything was falling from the walls: plaster, windows, everything. I quickly grabbed my dog and ran outside with the dog," Oleksandr. recalls In total, more than 150 people contacted the police with statements about damaged property. More than forty cars were damaged, as well as a church and monuments. Hundreds of windows were blown out.

"Fourteen multi-story buildings, four private houses, and administrative buildings are damaged. People are being provided with all the necessary assistance, and aid centers have been set up. They are being given plastic film, OSB, and all the necessary items," stated Yevhen Sytnichenko, Head of the Military Administration of the Kryvyi Rih district. There are no military objects or even large warehouses in the area of the strike. So, according to the police, Russian military forces have carried out another act of terrorism in Dnipropetrovsk region, aimed to destroy as many Ukrainians as possible.
