The aggressor state, Russia, has begun actively using Belarusian airspace to carry out attacks on western Ukraine.
Oleksandr Azarov, head of the organization "ByPol," which unites former Belarusian security officials, reported this during a broadcast on KYIV24.
The "Kinzhal" missiles that struck Lviv on September 4 entered Ukrainian airspace through Belarus.
"It flew over border regions. I believe the Belarusian Ministry of Defense knew about this “Kinzhal” in advance. They allowed it to pass in order to reduce the chances of it being shot down. After all, if it’s over Belarusian territory, Ukrainians won't shoot it down," the report stated.
This tactic increases the likelihood of the missile hitting its target.
