Are battles ongoing for Pokrovsk: Ukrainian Armed Forces report on the situation at the most difficult frontline
Fighting continues on the southern approaches to Pokrovsk.
Pokrovsk.
There are no battles taking place in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. Currently, hostilities are ongoing on the outskirts of the city and near the settlement of Shevchenko.
This was reported by Artem Pribylnov, an officer from the communications unit of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Anna of Kyiv,” during a broadcast on Suspilne.
According to him, Russian forces have amassed reserves and are attempting to break through to the city. In the brigade's area of responsibility, the fighting is taking place outside of Pokrovsk — on the southern outskirts of the city.
"At the moment, the fighting is not for Pokrovsk itself. It's the southern outskirts: fields, the outskirts of the settlement of Shevchenko, where the enemy is trying to concentrate. They are detected on the approaches — reconnaissance is tracking them to positions where they can be destroyed as effectively as possible, and this is happening," Pribylnov said.
In recent days, Russian troops launched their first assault with armored groups since March. It was repelled. The assault consisted of several armored vehicles and motorcycle units.
The officer added that Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups will continue trying to infiltrate Pokrovsk.
