At least 39 civilians killed and 87 injured in a rocket strike by Russian forces on evacuees at Kramatorsk railway station, Donetsk region, said the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

On the morning of the 8th of April 2022, the Russian occupiers launched two powerful rockets struck Kramatorsk railway station. During that time thousands of people were at the station waiting to be evacuated, most of whom were families of women, children, and the elderly.

Pavlo Kirilenko said that the Russian forces hit the railway station with an Iskander missile containing cluster munitions. However, later it was denied by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to the president, the occupants fired on the train station with Tochka-U missile.

The Russians ballistic missiles that killed civilians at the train station in Kramatorsk were signed "for the children of Donbass".

Evacuation has not yet been carried out from the Kramatorsk station after shelling.
